Each blank canvas calls for another story. It asks me to have a beginner’s mind.
First, I stop and just listen to the moment. Then I rummage through my fabrics, handmade papers, odds and ends from my glass jar of treasures. Maybe I flip through some old photographs. I ponder what to say — not with words — but with color, texture, line and space.
I believe artful repurposing not only sparks compelling stories, it heals us. Taking memories or scraps and making them part of something fresh and colorful reveals new ways to move forward.
I grab a brush. I begin. Make it bold. Be happy.
